Why club swimmers come to us
Great squads. Busy lanes.
Singapore’s swim clubs build strong, fit, race-ready swimmers. But a squad coach watching a full lane can’t fix every swimmer’s catch, kick timing or breathing on every length. Small faults get repeated thousands of times a week.
Coach Jina fine-tunes those gaps one priority at a time, so your swimmer goes back to squad training with a stroke that holds up at race pace.
Built for club swimmers
- Upgrading and squad-selection timings
- Club invitationals, SAQ meets and NSG
- Stroke efficiency in all four strokes
- Race mindset: change “cannot” to “can”
- Fees from $160 · at your pool or condo
Working with your club, not around it
Your club coach stays in charge of training.
We never change your swimmer’s club programme. The club handles volume, sets and racing. Our weekly session handles the technical detail. In our 200m freestyle case study, a club swimmer chasing a 3:35.88 upgrading time went from 3:42.66 to 3:07 over about 5 months, and Coach Jina credits his club coach’s daily training as much as her own work.
Swimmers from any club are welcome
Coach Jina is currently coaching 5 swimmers from Chinese Swimming Club and welcomes swimmers from any Singapore club or school team. She is an independent coach with no official affiliation to any club. See also stroke correction and squad & upgrading prep.
Real result
“All I did weekly was fine-tune the missing gaps he was unaware of, which a club coach can be too busy to identify.” Coach Jina
What parents and swimmers say
“She has been my son’s stroke coach for the past five months… he has managed to shave an incredible 40 seconds off his 200m freestyle time in just five months… Coach Jina has an exceptional eye for technique and is able to identify small details in a swimmer’s stroke that can make a significant difference.”
“She can pin point the potential issues in my daughter’s stroke, and her willingness to go into the pool to correct her strokes… rarely see the coach in water.”
“She is a strong swimmer, and she can immediately point out the mistakes in my technique.”
Frequently asked questions
Are you a Chinese Swimming Club coach?
No. Coach Jina is an independent private coach and is not affiliated with Chinese Swimming Club or any other club. She is currently coaching 5 swimmers from Chinese Swimming Club privately, alongside their club squad training.
Which clubs do your swimmers come from?
Swimmers from any Singapore club or school team are welcome, whatever squad they train in. The approach is the same for all of them: support the club programme, and fix the technique gaps that are hard to catch in a busy lane.
Will extra sessions tire my child out for squad training?
One focused technique session a week is designed to make squad training more effective, not to add heavy volume. We keep the club coach’s programme as the priority.
How much does it cost?
Fees from $160 per 1-hour session for 1-to-1 coaching at your pool or condo.
